ETHIOPIA

I spent a two day layover in Ethiopia’s capital, Addis Abba, it was a lovely unplanned getaway (one of the few positive results of Nigeria’s national strike; due to the strike I missed my connecting flight to Cairo and was “stranded” in Ethiopia). It was a nice buffer between my lavish four weeks vacation in Nigeria and my anxiously anticipated four months study abroad program in Cairo, Egypt.

Ethiopia was gorgeous!!! ( I would like to think that all african countries possess an unmeasurable wealth of innate beauty). I was cooped away in a hotel with all the traditional perks of being a foreigner in an African country (and by foreigner I mean residing outside of the continent). I even got a chance to explore the chaotic and vibrant city.

I bought these earrings as a souvenir / memorabilia before my departure…i’ll add these too my collection
